When Taylor Meier and Even Westfall met in sixth grade, they could have never imagined that ten years later they would not only still be friends but have their own folk band. Infamous for their weekly performances at Casa Nueva’s open mic night, the duo who call themselves CAAMP, are putting the finishing touches on their first album.
The album was recorded at a studio in Troy, Ohio but was mixed and produced in Athens by a few of their friends in the music production program in Scripps. While CAAMP anxiously awaits for their album to be mastered in Los Angeles, they’re already working on writing and recording for a second album. The two Athens residents continue to perform all around Ohio, and gave us a special performance and interview for Episode 2 of the Backdrop Artist Series.
