Athens is a special town that raises some special questions. When a campus cancels classes because of an armed fugitive and a student’s first reaction is to hit the bars, can this situation be labeled as “drunk” or “Athens?” If it’s labeled drunk, it can happen anywhere at any institution of higher education where alcoholism can be considered a minor. If it’s deemed Athens, then the event is something that could only happen in this one-of-a-kind college town. Our writers Andrew Downing and Anna Lippincott will help decide.
