As the weather begins to drop from a comfortable autumn temperature to a freezing chill, students will often find themselves looking for something warm to sip. Donkey Coffee recently brought back their signature Chaider to the menu, a perfect way to warm up when the weather seems unbearable.

While the chai at Donkey contains a mixture of cardamon, cinnamon, ginger, sugar and black tea, the Chaider adds a twist to the classic chai drink. Instead of using the usual dairy products to mix the chai tea with, Donkey baristas substitute them with a warm apple cider.

“People seem to really like [the Chaider],” Donkey barista Ken Jackson says. “They’ve really been into it, so we’ve sold a lot of them.”

The combination of the chai mix and the apple cider makes this drink both very sweet, but also with a bit of spice.

While this drink already has a clear mixture of multiple flavors, the baristas at Donkey even offer to dust the top of the drink with a bit of cinnamon to give it an extra zing.

Grab the Chaider drink from Donkey Coffee located at 17 ½ Washington St. For more information on what Donkey has to offer, visit www.donkeycoffee.com or call (740) 594-7353.
