As soon as the leaves begin to show the slightest change of color, coffee shops clamor to add pumpkin spice lattes, a seasonal staple, to their menus. However, Fluff Bakery has another specialty fall drink to offer: the Maple Cinnamon Latte.
Brewed with Silverbridge espresso, a choice of skim, 2% or whole Snowville milk and maple-cinnamon syrup made from Sticky Pete’s maple syrup, the latte is created from ingredients sourced from southeastern Ohio.
The latte is a perfect balance of flavors, with none too overpowering. The maple-cinnamon syrup acts as an enhancement to the coffee, rather than making it taste artificial or overly sweet.
While the drink was much larger than expected, a great deal of cinnamon-dusted foam remained at the bottom of the cup.
Raya Ward, a Fluff employee, says that many people do not yet know about the drink.
“The ones who have tried it loved it,” Ward says. “It’s just about getting the word out.”
She adds that the maple-cinnamon syrup is made-in house.
“When we made the syrup up, I [drank] it for the next three days,” Ward says.
Light, generously portioned and perfectly balanced in terms of flavor, Fluff’s Maple-Cinnamon Latte is a delicious fall drink.
